Hoysala architecture

Hoysala architecture is the stone temple architecture of the Hoysala Empire. The temples are made of a very soft stone called soap stone which is amenable to intricate carving. Hoysala architecture is exemplified in the temples of Belur, Halebid and Somnathpur.
