Hurricane Floyd

Hurricane Floyd made landfall on the North Carolina coast on September 16 1999, and went on to cause torrential rains and high winds in New York City. By the time it hit the shore, Floyd was significantly weaker than it was at sea, which was caused by the colapsing of its concentric eyes. Recently, Floyd has been compared to Hurricane Isabel.
