Inkatha Freedom Party

The Inkatha Freedom Party is a political party in South Africa. As of 2003, it is led by Mangosuthu Buthelezi. It was founded in 1975 by Buthelezi, using a structure rooted in Inkatha, a 1920s cultural organization for Zulus. Though the party was established in KwaZulu-Natal, it is open to persons of any ethnic or racial group.
