Founded in 1940, Iona College is named after the island Iona located in the Inner Hebrides off of Scotland. As a center of faith and learning, the island of Iona helped bring about the cultural development of Western Europe. The Congregation of Christian Brothers founded Iona College in the same spirit.
Baccalaureate and Master degrees are offered in both the School of Arts and Sciences and the Hagan School of Business.
The Iona Gaels are part of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and paticipate in twenty-two (22) NCAA Division I programs.Quick Facts
