Jock column

Jock columns, during World War II, were groups of armoured cars, artillery, and truck-borne infantry which were used, in Africa, by the British Army's Western Desert Force. The name comes from Lieutenant Colonel Jock Campbell. These groups were used to harass the Italian forces.
