Juan Valdez

Juan Valdez is a fictional character that has appeared in Colombian coffee ads for over 44 years, representing the Colombian coffee farmer. He often appears alongside a donkey, and he has become an icon for Colombian as well as coffee in general. Created by the Doyle Dane Bernback agency in 1959, Juan Valdez has been played by Jose Duval and Carlos Sanchez.
