Kendrick Meek
Kendrick B. Meek (born
September 6 1966),
American politician, has been a
Democratic member of the
United States House of Representatives since
2003, representing the 17th District of
Florida. He was born in
Miami, Florida, was educated at Florida A&M University, and was a member of the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate before entering the House. He is a member of the
Congressional Black Caucus and the son of former Representative Carrie Meek.
