Kensington Gore
Kensington Gore is is a street in central
London. It is the location of the
Royal Albert Hall,
Royal College of Art and the
Royal Geographical Society. The street takes its unusual name from Gore house which formerly occupied the site the Royal Albert Hall. Gore house was the residence of
William Wilberforce and later the Countess of Blessington.
'Kensington Gore' is also theatre slang for stage blood.
