The Komondor is a livestock guard dog originally from Hungary. Large (27 in/69 cm at the withers, 100 lb/45 kg), with a thick, muscular body and an enormous, long, corded white coat. Independent, protective, aggresive with strangers, territorial, very intelligent very bright. Life span of around twelve years. They can suffer from hip dysplasia, bloat and skin problems.
Known as the king of the hungarian sheepdogs, it is a truly impressive animal. If you are ever lucky enough to see one, you'll never forget it.
