Korean era name
Korean era names (
yeonho; 연호; 年號) were only used during the
Korean Empire, which was founded in
1897 and ended in
1910 with the beginning of the
Japanese Colonial Period. The era names are as follows:
- Gwangmu (광무; 光武; "Bright Valour") - used for the reign of Emperor Gojong, 1897-1907
- Yeonghui (용희; 永熙; "Eternal Brilliance") - used for the reign of Emperor Sunjong, 1907-1910
