Lewis Franklin Powell, Jr.

Lewis Franklin Powell, Jr. (September 19, 1907 - August 25, 1998) was an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. He was appointed by President Nixon and served from January 7, 1972 to June 26, 1987. Powell was nearly 80 years old when he resigned his position as Supreme Court justice.
