London Residuary Body
The
London Residuary Body was a body set up in
1985 to excercise the functions of
Greater London Council after the council's abolition in
1986. Similar residuary bodies were set up for the
metropolitan counties.
It functioned as a successor to the Inner London Education Authority for a while, and disposed of various assets owned by the County Council, including County Hall.
It was wound up in 1992.
