Love's Labour's Lost (2000 movie)
Love's Labour's Lost (2000 movie) is an adaptation of the play by
William Shakespeare as a romantic Hollywood musical starring Shakespearean veteran
Kenneth Branagh,
Alicia Silverstone, and
Nathan Lane. It sets the tale in the (then-fictional) country of
Navarre in 1939, and develops a 1930s mood by frequent use of classic
Broadway songs of that era and
newsreel-style footage between scenes.
