Lurtz

Lurtz is a character from the movie The Fellowship of the Ring by Peter Jackson, based on The Fellowship of the Ring, first part of The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien. He does not appear in the book.

Lurtz was the Uruk-hai who slew Boromir. He was the first of Saruman's Uruks to be bred. Lurtz was killed when Aragorn cut his head off in a battle.

He is played by New Zealand actor Lawrence Makaore.
