Maple Leaf

Maple Leaf is a
train operated jointly by
Via Rail and
Amtrak from
New York (
Pennsylvania Station) to
Toronto via
Albany and
Buffalo. The train travels during the day and takes approximately 12 hours for the 533 mile (858 km) journey. Around 2 hours of this is required for border controls at
Niagara Falls. A change of
locomotive is made at
Albany.
A maple leaf is also a symbol of Canada, and the namesake of this train.
