Marshall Township is a township located in Mower County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 382.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 89.6 km² (34.6 mi²). 89.6 km² (34.6 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 382 people, 122 households, and 105 families residing in the township. The population density is 4.3/km² (11.0/mi²). There are 126 housing units at an average density of 1.4/km² (3.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is: two Native Americans, two Asians, and the rest of the people are white. There are 122 households out of which 44.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 76.2% are married couples living together, 3.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 13.9% are non-families. 10.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.13 and the average family size is 3.38.

In the township the population is spread out with 31.2% under the age of 18, 9.9% from 18 to 24, 25.7% from 25 to 44, 23.0% from 45 to 64, and 10.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 35 years. For every 100 females there are 114.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 119.2 males.
