Martha Nussbaum
Martha Nussbaum (born
May 6,
1947) is a
philosopher, with a particular interest in
ancient philosophy and
law. She was born in New York, NY, the daughter of George (an attorney) and Betty (a homemaker; maiden name, Warren) Craven. She married Alan Jeffrey Nussbaum, August, 1969 (divorced, November, 1987), with whom she had one child, Rachel Emily.
