Massacre in Koniuchy

The neutrality of this article is disputed. Please see the article's talk page for more information.

In 1944, probably in January, the Polish village of Koniuchy was destroyed by partisans from the Lithuanian brigade, under the command of Jacob Penner and Shmuel Kaplinsky. The village was not fortified, and the villagers were armed with only a few old rifles. A total of about 130 people were killed indiscriminately.

After the war, some of the partisans (including Chaim Lazaar, Israel Weiss, and Rich Cohen) boasted of the crime. No criminal charges were filed.
