Melodic black metal

Melodic Black Metal is Black Metal with more keyboards and orchestral pieces than long guitar solos. It may also have more lyrics. Two big bands in this are maybe the two most famous in Black Metal at the moment: Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir.

Melodic black metal often can be confused with Norweigian Gothic Metal and there are some bands who are classitified as both (Cradle of Filth or Summoning for instance).
