Messier 14
Messier 14 (also known as
NGC 6402) is a
globular cluster in constellation
Ophiuchus.
At a distance of about 30,000 light years, it contains several 100,000 stars. In 1938 a nova appeared in this globular.
At its brightness of 7.6 mag it can be easily observed with binoculars.
