The Nokia N-Gage is a mobile telephone and a handheld game system in one unit. The unit is priced at $199 - $299 and the games sell for $30 to $40.
It's been said that the N-Gage will not sell well due to the high launch price and that it will possibly be taken out of production sometime in 2004.
The N-Gage is only carried by one or two mobile phone providers.
A huge blow was dealt to the N-Gage with the official announcement by Nokia that the security to the N-Gage games has been sucessfully bypassed and any phone using the same Operating System can play N-Gage games now.
Many experts consider the N-Gages games to be of a "mediocre" level when compared against Nintendo's Game Boy Advance games.
