New Communist Party of Britain
The
New Communist Party of Britain is a
communist political party in
Britain. They left the
Communist Party of Great Britain in
1977. They are known as "Tankies" (an abusive nickname for those communists most sympathetic to the suppression of the Hungarian Revolution in 1956) and broadly sympathise with the Breznevite period of Stalinist politics. It produces a newspaper called the
New Worker.
