Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 2,913 people, 1,000 households, and 761 families residing in the village. The population density is 255.6/km² (661.8/mi²). There are 1,013 housing units at an average density of 88.9/km² (230.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.12% White, 0.45% African American, 0.00% Native American, 1.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.41% from other races, and 1.03% from two or more races. 0.72% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,000 households out of which 40.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.6% are married couples living together, 7.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.8% are non-families. 19.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
