Operation Ivy Cyclone II

During the 2003 American invasion of Iraq. Operation Ivy Cyclone was an operation launched in early November 2003 by the Fourth 'Ivy' Infantry Division against the resistance stronghold of Tikrit, Iraq. On 7 November an American helicopter was forced down near the city and the next day heavy air and artillery strikes supported a number of military operations in the area.
