Oregon Country Fair
The
Oregon Country Fair arises every year from wetlands outside
Eugene, Oregon, for one long weekend bash with 50,000 people. The Country Fair, which started as a barter and craft faire in the late
1960s, offers an earthy mix of village atmosphere that harkens back to a prehistoric urbanity. Although generally considered a family event, it is pretty wild by prurient standards, has been described as "very hippy".
