The ovenbirds or Horneros are a large family of small passerine bird species found in South America. They form the family Furnariidae. They should not be confused with the Ovenbird, Seiurus aurocapillus, which is a wood warbler in the family Parulidae.

This is a diverse group which gets its name from the elaborate clay nests built by some species, although others build stick nests or nest in tunnels or clefts in rock; up to six blue or white eggs are laid. Most are forest birds, but some are found in more open habitats.
