Padawan

In the universe of the seminal sci-fi classic Star Wars, a Padawan is one who learns the ways of the Jedi. Typically, Padawans are apprenticed to a more senior Jedi Knight. Anakin Skywalker is the Padawan of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Qui-Gon Jinn is the Padawan of Count Dooku. Ulic Qel Droma was the Padawan of Arca Jeth. In the Jedi hierarchy, a Jedi Knight is between a Padawan and a Jedi Master.
