Palmeiras (football club)

One of the biggest football clubs in Brazil, Palmeiras is from the city of São Paulo. It's biggest rivals are: Corinthians, São Paulo (both from the same city) and Santos, from Santos.

It's full name is "Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras" (Palmeiras Sport Society), and its colours are green and white. "Palmeiras" means palm trees.

The other big teams from Brazil (including the four mentioned) are: Flamengo, Botafogo, Vasco da Gama, Fluminense, Atlético Mineiro, Grêmio, Cruzeiro and Internacional.
