Papantla
Papantla (also known as
Pahpantla de Ohlarte) is a city in the state of
Veracruz,
Mexico. The city is near Poza Rica, Coatzintla, the state of
Puebla, and Martínez de la Torre. It is on Mexico highway 190. It was founded by the
Native Americans of
Tuzapán.
Papantla is also a municipality of Veracruz state, including the city and surrounding country.
Also in Papantla musicipality is the Pre-Columbian site of El Tajín.
