Penelope Keith (born April 2, 1940) is a British actress, best known for her appearances in the BBCtelevisionsitcomsTo the Manor Born and The Good Life. Her characters are usually likeable but pompous and slightly ridiculous upper-class ladies, as in the preceding examples.
She is also currently High Sheriff of Godalming, near Surrey in England.
She was born in Sutton, Surrey, is married to Rodney Timson, and has two adopted sons.
