Peter Bogdanovich
Peter Bogdanovich (born
July 30 1939) is an American
film director, born in
Kingston, New York.
Bogdanovich was a film critic before deciding to try his hand at directing. His most famous film is The Last Picture Show (1971). The film received eight Academy Awards nominations and won two of them. It was reedited for video release in 1991. He also directed a sequel to it: Texasville (1990). In 1999 Bogdanovich made several appearances on the television series The Sopranos as Dr. Melfi's (Lorraine Bracco) psychologist.
