Peter Jones

Peter Jones (June 12 1920 - April 10 2000) was most noted as an actor, principally for his contributions as the voice of "The Book" on The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and his elegant repartee on the BBC Radio 4 programme, Just a Minute, although he was also a talented scriptwriter.

He was born at Wem in Shropshire.
