Bahá'u'lláh presribes pilgrimage in His Motherbook (Kitáb-i-Aqdas). The Most Holy Shrine (the Qiblih), the Blessed House in Baghdad and the venerated House of the Báb in Shihraz are consecrated to pilgrimage, and it is "obligatory" to visit these places.
