Pitlochry
Pitlochry is a
burgh in
Perth and Kinross,
Scotland, lying on the River Tummel. It is largely a twentieth century town, having grown as a
tourist resort, in particular a centre for
hill walking. The town has two
whisky distilleries, a small
theatre and a
hydroelectric power station. The dam which provides the power is known for its salmon ladder, which the fish leap up.
