Ponaturi

In Polynesian mythology, the Ponaturi are a group of spirits who killed Hema. In revenge, they were locked in a house by Hema's wife, Urutonga, and their sons, Tawhaki and Karihi, until the sun came up. The doors were flung open and the Ponaturi died at contact with sunlight.

The two survivors were Kanae, who became a flying fish, and Tonga-Hiti, who became a demon that causes headaches.
