Pox is term which usually referred to smallpox. It is also used to refer to various other pox viruses. Some poxes include chicken pox, monkeypox, cowpox, plum pox.

Pox is also used to describe the vesicular rash sores caused by pox diseases.

The Pox usually refers to syphilis.

Pox can also mean a curse. For example "a pox on him".
