Geography
Put-in-Bay is located at 41°39'11" North, 82°49'3" West (41.653006, -82.817620)1. It is located on South Bass Island in Lake Erie. Ferry service connects it with Catawba Island, Kelleys Island, Port Clinton, and Sandusky, Ohio.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.7 km² (0.6 mi²). 1.2 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is land and 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 28.12% water.

There are 179 housing units at an average density of 150.2/km² (390.5/mi²).
