Python (mythology)
In
Greek mythology,
Python was a
dragon that lived at
Delphi. It was a child of
Gaia and the mud that was left over after the flood of
Deucalion ended the
Golden Age.
Apollo killed it and made its former home an
oracle, one of the most famous in
Greece.
