Queen's House
The
Queen's House (designed by
architect Inigo Jones for
Anne of Denmark (the queen of King
James I of England) and afterwards used by Queen
Henrietta Maria) is one of the most important buildings in British architectural history. Located in
Greenwich, London on a site between
Greenwich Park and the
Greenwich Hospital next to the river
Thames, it is a gleaming white
Palladian villa linked by colonnades to the
National Maritime Museum buildings either side.
