Red Hat Network

Red Hat Network (or Red Hat Enterprise Network) is a system that monitors the versions of packages contained within Red Hat Linux. Periodically, Red Hat (the company) will make updates, patches, or bug fixes available via Red Hat Network.

Users simply click on an icon to invoke the update program, and all necessary patches are downloaded and installed automatically.

It is akin to other types of automatic system maintenance tools such as Windows Update for Microsoft Windows operating systems.
