Rockford is a town located in Coosa County, Alabama. As of the 2000 census, the population of the town is 428. The city is the county seat of Coosa County.

There are 189 households out of which 32.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 34.9% are married couples living together, 19.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 40.2% are non-families. 38.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 22.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.13 and the average family size is 2.81.
