S. M. Stirling
S. M. Stirling is a
science fiction author.
Stephen Michael Stirling was born in Metz, France on September 30, 1953 to an English mother and Canadian father. He has lived in several countries and currently resides in New Mexico in the United States with his wife Jan.
Stirling's best known works are the Draka series, a controversial alternate history where a South African based nation of slave owners conquers the world in the 20th century, and the Nantucket trilogy, where the modern day island of Nantucket is transported back to the 13th century BC.
