Sascha Spesiwtsew

Sascha Spesiwtsew is a serial killer who practised cannibalism with his victims.

He was born in Nowokusnezk a town in Siberia. He spent his childhood in fear of his abusive father who tortured his whole family.

As an adult he shared a flat with his mother who had to suffer under his brutal attacks and with his beloved dobermann. His sister worked as a secretary at the court for a famous judge.

No-one would have ever thought how far his tendency to torturing would go. His atrocities were discovered by chance in 1996.

A water-pipe break forced the neighbours to call a plumber who opened the door of Saschas flat by force, because nobody answered when they knocked. When they entered the flat they saw blood covering the walls. In the kitchen there were bowls with pieces of human bodies. In the bathtub they found the mutilated body of a girl missing its head. Another girl was found lying seriously hurt on the sofa. The ambulance took her to the hospital where she was able to tell the public prosecutor about the pain she had to go through. She died seventeen hours later.

Spesiwtsew's mother had lured her and two other girls into the flat where Sascha raped and hit them. He killed one of the girls and the other two were forced to cut her into pieces in the bathtub. The mother cooked her body parts for dinner. The second girl was killed by the dog that bit through her throat.

The police found a booklet which contained the murders of nineteen girls in detail. Sascha escaped over the balcony when he heard someone opening the door. The police caught him as he tried to rape a girl.

Sascha Spesiwtsew was declared guilty in all nineteen cases and sentenced to death. His mother who denied complicity was sent into prison for life.
