Saskatchewan Roughriders

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a Canadian Football League team based in Regina, Saskatchewan. The team is known for the loyalty, enthusiasm and 'Rider pride of its fans, who wear the green and white through good times and bad and make every home game a province-wide celebration.

Formerly known as: Regina Rugby Club until 1923, Regina Roughriders 1925 to 1949

Franchise history

The team was founded as the Regina Rugby Club. They changed their name to the Regina Roughriders in 1924 and officially to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1950.
