Sheldon Souray
Sheldon Souray is a
Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays
defence for the
Montreal Canadiens. He was born in
Elk Point, Alberta,
Canada on
July 13,
1976. He was drafted in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft Third round (71st overall) by
New Jersey Devils and played there from
1997 to
1999 and was traded to Montreal Canadiens on
March 1,
2000. He suffered a serious
wrist injury which kept him out for the entire 2002-2003 season but has made a comeback in which his career has slowly begun to improve and he has become a leading player on the team.
