Shishapangma
Shishapangma at 8,013 meters (26,289 feet), is the fourteenth highest
mountain in the world and the lowest of the eight-thousanders.
Shishapangma is located in the
Himalayas of
Tibet and was the last 8,000 meter peak to be climbed. Alternate names of
Shishapangma include Gosainthan, Xixabangma and Xixabangma Feng.
Shishapangma was first climbed in 1964 by Hsu Ching and his ten man Chinese party.
