SKS
The
SKS is a rifle invented in
Russia by Simonov in
1945. It is of a much heavier construction than the
AK-47 and is used extensively by
Chinese police and military forces. Later versions included variable gas port controls, and selective fire.
The rifle uses ammunition clip style loading and has a buttstock cleaning kit with cleaning rod running under the barrel. The SKS is easily field stripped and reassembled with no tools.
