Smith and Jones

Smith and Jones are a British comedy double act, consisting of Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones.

They first worked together on Not the Nine O'Clock News. Since then they have appeared on various television programs together, notably Alas Smith and Jones, a BBC television series that ran from 1984 to 1988. The title was a parody of the American western television series Alias Smith and Jones which ran on the ABC network from 1971 to 1973.
