They play in azulgrana--claret and blue, with blue shorts. Home stadium is the Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa that seats 5,250 spectators.
Formed by the merger of Deportivo Gallo and Unión Deportiva Eibarresa, they were originally known as Eibar Fútbol Club, before changing to the current name. Originally an irregular team, it wasn't until the 1943-44 season that Eibar were reorganised into a more full-time unit. Promoted to the third (Tercera) division in 1950, they were promoted to the Segunda B in 1952-53, where they stayed for five seasons, before relegation again. The team subsequently has floated between the two second divisions and the third.
More recently, the club has been more consistent, spending the years since 1988 in the Segunda División.
