South Downs Way

Near Beachy Head
The South Downs Way is a long-distance bridleway, running along the South Downs in southern England. The eighty-mile long trail runs east from Buriton, near Petersfield in Hampshire, to Beachy Head, near Eastbourne in East Sussex.

As you head east along the undulating path, you take in the town of Arundel, the village of Steyning, Devil’s Dyke viewpoint near Brighton, and miles of chalk downland with spectacular views. There are several youth hostels along the route to accommodate walkers.
